When your vehicle lease comes to an end, at Sun City Ford, we’ll help you find the right lease renewal option for your needs.
At the end of your lease, you have three different options to choose from depending on your preferences. Whether you’re planning to buy, return, or upgrade, our finance team is here to guide you through every step.
At the end of your lease, you can choose to buy your Ford and make it yours. This option lets you avoid excess wear-and-tear charges and kilometre penalties. Here’s how it works:
Review your purchase option price listed in your Lease Agreement.
Contact Sun City Ford for the final purchase price with taxes and fees.
Schedule an appointment before your lease-end date to complete the purchase.
Owning your Ford means you get to keep the vehicle you already know and love, while enjoying peace of mind on value.
Not ready to purchase? You can simply return your vehicle at lease-end. To do so:
Schedule an inspection for excess wear and tear or kilometre charges.
Consider repairs at Sun City Ford’s service department with OEM parts.
Prepare your vehicle by removing personal belongings and returning all items (keys, manuals, accessories, etc.).
Returning is straightforward, but make sure to complete all required disclosure questions and settle any financial obligations before your lease-end date to avoid extra charges.
Ready for something new? You can trade in your current lease and upgrade to a new Ford.
Explore flexible financing or lease terms that fit your lifestyle.
Lease payments are often lower than financing since you only pay for the portion of the vehicle’s value used.
At lease-end, you’ll still have options: purchase your vehicle, trade for a new Ford, or return it.
With a variety of Ford models and payment options, Sun City Ford makes upgrading simple.
If you don’t return, purchase, or trade your lease vehicle by the lease-end date, you may face additional charges as outlined in your Lease Agreement. To avoid fees, schedule your appointment with Sun City Ford ahead of time.
Yes. If you’ve moved more than 200 km from your original dealer, you can return your lease to another participating Ford dealership. Just make sure to contact them first to book an appointment.
You’ll need to return everything that originally came with your vehicle, including:
• All keys and key fobs
• Floor mats and cargo covers
• Owner’s manuals
• Wheel rims (from lease origination)
• Items for electrified vehicles (charging cords, etc.)
Having these items ensures a smooth return process.
If your vehicle has excess wear, tear, or damage, we recommend repairs before your return. Sun City Ford’s certified technicians can handle everything using OEM parts, helping you avoid extra lease-end charges.
You’ll need to confirm details about your vehicle’s history, such as:
• Has the odometer been tampered with?
• Was it used for commercial purposes, like a police cruiser?
• Has it sustained fire damage?
This ensures full transparency during the lease-end process.
